This is a pretty old sketch (maybe as early as 2004? - EDIT: 2007 ish) that I decided to finally finish today. It was a GaiaOnline freebie for AC. The character is a fantasy variation on the crazy old cat lady stock character; the crazy young dragon collector. :3 The blue dragon is my creation, and the jealous green baby is a Gwee from GaiaOnline.

The style of the blue dragon was heavily influenced by the work of Jessica Peffer - "NeonDragon"

Totally cute! I see the influence, but the pose, expressions and fingers still scream your original style <3
FINISH.
It was a freebie-- you mean you'd planned MOAR!? https://sites.google.com/site/arynchris/_/rsrc/1332809453081/dragcave/lorraine/Lorraine%20by%20o-Raichu-o.png?height=320&width=273 was not the everything!?!?
THERE IS SO MUCH INSANE AWESOME THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Also, not 2004. xD This was a freebie from you and Evie's art shop, which would have been more like... I think 08? I didn't join Gaia until at least 2006, that's certain, and I thiiiiink the thread might have been defunct by 2010. I think. Maybe. "Properties" on the sketch file say last modified 30 July 2008, so it had to be at least that long ago. ^_^
Oh my gosh this is so adventureful that it must be epically shared. *sits down with paper and debates just how to do that best*
Well, no, I hand't *planned* to do more with it at the time; by "finish" I can look at this piece now without feeling it needs polishing. :3 And when inspiration for COLORING and BACKDROP hits, I don't question. XD
Haha, you're right. I lose track of when I draw stuff...I'm delving into my Photobucket (the horror!) and finding the art I actually did around 2004. I forgot I even drew most of it.
I do that. xD Old work can be pretty horrific. D8 I suspect we forget about it on purpose.
If I didn't imply this strongly enough, yet, here is my honest opinion:
This is BEAUTIFUL, I love the strong adventure-y feel of it, and the whole image is just priceless. It was in the first place, honestly, but now it's more so. And I keep thinking that if not for Gwee's copywritten nature, I'd be scrambling to write a volume of children's stories for the sole purpose of having this for a book cover.
I'd just want it for the regular book of Lorraine stories, but grown-ups get all confused by brightly colored art. They seem to think brighter colors mean something is meant for children. Silly people.
<3
Seriously, <3.
>w<
Well, don't lament. It actually wouldn't do for a book cover anyway; the resolution is far too low. When printed it's less than two inches tall! It's definitely best enjoyed online.
