Tryvnah

I don't know why I let my minor characters hog all of my creative brain-space so often, but I do.  Here's a fresh sketch of Tryvnah, enhanced with a little Photoshop.

He looks different every time I draw him, but so far I like this version best.  He looks like a goofy version of Solid Snake from Metal Gear, hahaha...I can live with that.

I think I have s soft spot for short scruffy five-o-clockish beards. :D I picture Tryvnah to be largely a combination of hairiness and scars. I have NO idea what I want his colors to look like. My mental default is browns, but djinn are supposed to be more colorful than that...

I read once that it's believed in parts of the Middle East that angels are beings of light with no heat, able to look however they want, like living illusions. Devils-- sometimes still called "bad djinn"-- are by contrast smokeless fire...

It could be that djinn are only colorful when depicted by colorfully garbed Persians. xD Makes for more brilliant murals, you know.

That may be true, but I'd like Ink!style Djinn to be colorful too because they are embodiments of fire and to me flame is vivid and flashy, not drab browns. I'm just terrible at thinking in color, that's my problem. S'why I rarely color anything!
