Evie and I have come to find that Took has Bieber-fever and it cracks us up. As one of her recent posts on her own art-blog she included (at my encouragement/tempting/pleading/goading) a picture of Took singing "Somebody to Love" and I get giggle fits every time I look at it. Evie also said "I’d love/dread to know what he thinks of this," so I doodled up his response!

Yeah...he doesn't really know what to think. I would guess amongst the jumble of indignant/embarrassed thoughts are "I'm going to kill CallyAnn for spilling my secrets" and "please tell me Vahaadi hasn't seen this." Truth be told, I think Took just likes the sound of Justin Bieber's music (maybe because his voice is in his range, hahaha! ) because the lyrics are way too sentimental for him. Took's too in love with himself to need anybody, or so he'd like to think!
Silliness aside, I have one more picture I drew last night that I've decided to post a disclaimer for, since it depicts an ideologically sensitive issue that I don't expect all viewers of my blog to want to see, but it fits the theme of the post and it's a topic that both frustrates and intrigues me. Don't click if you're sensitive to male/male mushy stuff.
This is minor/back-story stuff for Vahaadi, the character on the left. The other man is Tryvnah, a member of the gypsy circus troupe that took in young Vahaadi after he ran away from home. Tryvnah doesn't play any role in the over-arching plot and most likely won't make an appearance, but the bond of rivalry, friendship, and passion that ignited between the two of them means everything to Vahaadi. To him, Tryvnah is the home he could never run away from, the one he won't let go.

Took, what can I say? Please take it as a compliment that you can rival Beiber in his pleading, desperate emo-look. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY FANGIRLS HE HAS? @_@ You'd be amazed how many girls that look and voice can seduce without even meaning to.
Saaaaaadnesssssssssss. This rips me up. I can't look at it for very long because I have too many reactions:
1. "Vahaadi, no. You-- just, no. This isn't helping you, you know that... at least I want you to know that."
2. "Aww, Vahaadi's so desperate. HE DOESN'T LOVE YOU LIKE YOU LOVE HIM! *rawrangerfussatTryvnah*"
3. "*cringe* I've never been one to stomach guy on guy stuff..."
4. "...what would Spark say? I imagine it'd be something like:
Spark: Who is that? *points at Tryvnah* who is THAT?? WHO IS THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? GET AWAY FROM MY VAHAADI YOU CREEP! --What's that, Vahaadi? You actually like this guy? you... you love him? OH. um. what. *pauses to look Tryvnah over* Well. *normally loves anyone Vahaadi likes, but just can't bring herself to like this guy. What was he doing planting a big one on Vahaadi like that? Jeez. I mean Vahaadi looked practically miserable. ...or maybe he was just really happy...* I, uh, I'm going to go now. *worried smile at Vahaadi* Catch you later, Bud! *as she walks off* Thinking is not something I enjoy doing, but I have a LOT of it I need to do right now."
5. "If home is where my heart is, then my heart is lost at sea..." For Spark, Vahaadi can be the home for her heart, but his home is Tryvnah... THIS IS SO SAD.
I like Took's hand on the mouse, btw. Very pretty. ^_^

After sending the version you saw on Facebook, I realized it didn't really show what their relationship is like. Vahaadi really does cling to him like that, like he's afraid Tryvnah will pull away. :(

OMGOSH! Just... WOW! I can't believe you drew all of that! It's PERFECT! Like P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!!!!!!!! :D I mean, it's not exactly a happy comic, so maybe I shouldn't be squeeing, but that is SO how Spark would be! ((On a side note, Tryvnah's way of speaking to Vahaadi makes me feel like sneering right back at him. I'm sure if you're into him that seems attractive, but if you see through him it doesn't look confident, it just looks arrogant. DX )) THANK YOU for this; I can't believe you drew the whole thing out! :D Now I must do arts for youuuuuuuu.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it! I kept trying to work on the butterfly pic but this one was like DRAW ME NOW. I think honestly I was just looking forward to drawing Tryvnah saying "Really? That's what you're going to go with, /friend/?" but his expression didn't turn out right so that failed. He was supposed to look more playful-teasing and less snide-teasing. I had to include the "XD" face to try and convey that but I don't think that helped. He is kind of sneer-y though, egad. He's not like this all the time, I swear. oO I imagine him being quite sweet most of the time, otherwise Vahaadi would never have gone for him. Tryvnah does think that Vahaadi's way too hardcore though and can't help but laugh at him for it. He likes it, considering he's the object of affection, but with Vahaadi it quickly becomes exasperating.
