This is not how I wanted this picture to look, but I had to get the idea out on paper. This is a non-canonical roleplay scene. Spark's getting a terrible reality check. :(

This is so sweet <3. I want to use exclamation points, but they just don't seem appropriate. Spark has the perfect look on her face. It shows how bewildered she is and how sad she feels, but that those things can't keep her from loving Vahaadi just as much as she ever has. Her pose is so perfect too, because they're very close and yet she far enough away from his face to just stare at him, completely at a loss.
Vahaadi's exhaustion is clear too, and yet, he looks comfortable. The folding of his arms as he rests his head on Spark's knee almost makes him look like a small child, yet the context of the situation is so adult, and the whole juxtaposition of the situation says so much.
I think it came out really well, but what did it look like in your head?
Evie: I actually wanted to draw this scene from a totally different angle, but realized I have neither the command of anatomy and perspective that I'd need nor the patience to even try it right now. In my head the scene was a slightly top-down angle, they were on the floor, and Vahaadi was on his back instead of his side. Her legs were crossed. I was able to find a reference for this pose, however, and since I just needed this out I drew this one instead. Looking at it now I suppose it's not too bad. It's just not as dynamic and ambitious as I'd have liked, and their anatomy needs some serious help. I am satisfied with how their faces turned out though. This is another piece that I'd like to clean up or redo someday.
"I just needed this out--" SO how I feel about this. It's one of those things that can't just stay in our heads. On his back would have been touching too, but given his physical condition at the time this is probably more realistic. ...yeah. I just said 'realistic' about a *noncanon* rp, but you know what I mean. XP
I just love this because Spark has the perfect expression, one that I didn't capture in the parts that I drew for this. <3
