For one of my classes I had to make something--anything I wanted, as long as it fell within the school's honor code. This is by far the best hour I've spent on homework yet. :D

This is great! :D Link looks very epic (you have a thing for strong profile "portrait" looking sketches.) And Pikachu looks so cute! You've managed to do something that i rarely see: draw a pokemon that doesn't necessarily look like anime but still looks like the character. His little feet bring me happiness.
How is the reaction to Harry Potter there? Are people still riled about it or are most people accepting, like your parents (well you parents are *fans* but you know what I mean.)
Ahhh I love this! Vahaadi looks SO good! This is definitely my new 'go-to' reference pic for him. He's just *fantastic.* Is the cowl a permanent feature now? I really like it, I'm just so used to Vahaadi's signature hair-style. XD Spark looks so kooooote :3 Don't tell her I said that.

Hm? Oh, no, it wasn't my church that got all up in arms over Harry Potter and sorcery and what not. Heavens, no. o.o The Church leaders have way better things to do than condemn kid books. The Harry Potter fan base here is pretty much as enthusiastic as anywhere, at least so far as I can tell. Most of the opposition to Harry potter that I had to put up with in my world came from my dad. 9_9 It's funny, we normally ascribe "phases" to kids, but he definitely was in a phase that he's since grown out of.
I think I'll draw him with the cowl more often, but it is by no means a permanent feature. You're welcome to draw him without it if you like. n_n I just think it makes him look more adventurous and exotic--more like a djinni and less like a wannabe punk. I think I would even introduce him to viewers with the cowl, but within one or two episodes you'd see him with it off. I don't think he wears it indoors, and obviously he doesn't wear it when he's trying to pass as a human.
